About Us
Helping Hands Center of Hope is a "grassroots" group that started to truly serve our community in 2018 by providing meals and spiritual encouragement on the streets every Saturday to those in need. Our passion is to assist our community by helping one soul at a time in hopes they will know that Jesus came to save them. HHCH has also partnered with Grant and Douglass elementary schools, and through the partnership, we are able to provide some school supplies, lunch money, hygiene kits, coats, and Holiday food bags.
Coming from a family of 10 kids our mom planted the seed in her children that God has grown over the years, and now we want to extend our love and support the families, the kids, and the teens within our community. Although we're siblings, it’s our different paths in life that led us here and we want to help others. After seeing people on corners with signs for help, more now than ever in Wyandotte County, it was realized we can do more. "Faith without works is dead"(James2:14-26). As time went on this overwhelming feeling to help people grew and that meant God, wanted us to do so much more, something that will have a positive impact on those in need on a daily basis.
After several conversations, we learned that God, was calling all of us separately first and now together to do the same work for Him, so from one sibling to another sharing what was placed on our hearts and minds we decided to start HHCH. We were amazed at how good God is and how He brought forth HHCH through siblings with the same hope of helping others.

MISSON and VISION STATEMENT
The mission of Helping Hands Center of Hope is to provide continuous improvement, development and resources in order to ensure access for food, clothing and hygiene pantries for our community needs on a regular basis. Our Vision
Is to decrease hunger within our community, and give spiritual encouragement to others.
"Growing up, we always saw our mother helping others. Even if it resulted in giving her last dime, it's all we ever knew her to do, as kids you don't always understand, however, if someone were to ask she would always tell us " Don't turn anyone down that's hungry or in need because you may be turning your back on one of Gods Angels."
Matthew 25:35-40 (NLT)
"For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me."
“Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’
“And the King will say,"I tell you the truth when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"
